The Velan Foundation, the Telus Community Board along with the Astrolab are proud to announce the establishment of a support program dedicated to school outings. This program has made astronomy activities accessible for thousands of students of primary and secondary levels at the Astrolab by paying a fraction of the cost of transportation. Therefore, we reimburse 50% of the transport cost up to a maximum of $500 per bus, until the funds are exhausted. To be eligible to this grant, you must minimally make a reservation for a day visit of the Astrolab. This initiative was made possible by the generous donation of 20,000$ from the Karel Velan Foundation which shares a passion for the cosmology at Parc National du Mont-Mégantic along with it's permanent exhibition "Cosmos-Velan" and the equally generous donation of 20,000$ from the Telus Community Board of investments of Montreal. For more information concerning this program, please do not hesitate to call Marilyn Sauvé at 819-888-2941 ext. 234
